testXpo 2018 – International forum for materials testing
Sercal invite you to testXpo, the International Forum for Materials Testing taking place on October 15 – 18, 2018, at Zwick headquarters in Ulm. Together with 25 co-exhibitors, the Zwick Roell Group will present the latest trends and solutions in quality assurance and materials testing over an exhibition area of over 2,500 m². The exhibited products range from static testing machines, fatigue testing machines, hardness testers, and pendulum impact testers to melt flow indexers.
Sector Focus - Fasteners
Fasteners are everywhere and our modern world depends on them. Nuts, bolts, screws and rivets are used to join components, metal sheets and sections, which must not separate under load. In this article we take a quick look at this important industry sector and how Sercal can help your quest for quality.
Scope of Calibration Accreditation
Sercal has many years of experience in the field of calibration and their laboratory has been accredited by UKAS since 1991. Sercal provide a comprehensive calibration service for all types of testing machines, from all manufacturers, UKAS calibration certificates issued by Sercal are proof of measurement traceability to national and international standards as required by ISO/IEC17025:2015 and ASTM E4-16.
Sercal deliver worry-free machine relocation
Your materials testing machines and instruments are an important component of your company's success and they are used to produce reliable test results. That is why it is so important that your testing system and components can be used reliably again once they have been relocated.
Verifying Test Axis Alignment as per Nadcap
NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is the first attempt to implement a unified approach to measurement and inspection in the supply chain. As more aerospace primes mandate Nadcap certification, Sercal Calibrations and Service are here to help you achieve compliance.
Update, Upgrade or Modernise your machine
Your old frame or rig has served you well, the mechanism is still servicable and reliable but it is bristling with potentiometers and microswitches which are failing (it still works but you need to wiggle that wire :) What are your options? capital purchase may not be available to you this year, so what about updating, upgrading or modernising your old faithful?
Sercal inspection and calibration of Charpy machines
Worldwide, steel producers yearly make millions of impact tests to see whether their steels meet the specific strength requirements for applications such as ship building or pipeline construction.
Calibration of compression testing machines for concrete
Compression testing of concrete allows today's civil engineers to specifiy and use the perfect mix composition and curing regime to produce the many different elements required in modern buildings.
Sercal Calibration of Extensometers
There is a large range of extensometers available on the market today, from clip-on and sensor arm contact units through to Video, Inductive and laser non-contact units. One thing they all have in common though, is the need to be calibrated to recognised standards at regular intervals. Sercal can provide calibration of all types of extensometers to BS EN ISO 9513:2012 and ASTM:E83-10.
