We are pleased to announce that Alan Williams is the winner of a tablet computer after his feedback form was selected at random in the Sercal Customer Satisfaction Survey.
Alan, on the left in the picture, is the Plant Maintenance Manager at English Braids Limited and is seen collecting his prize from Nigel Wrigley, the SERCAL Head of Laboratories . The Malvern based company is a leading manufacturer of synthetic ropes and braided cords.
English Braids Ltd was originally established in1972 to supply rope and cord products into the industrial market. The company diversified into the Marine market place in 1980 and they have established a global network of distribution channels. Their products are employed on small dinghies up to luxury yachts, as well as a wide range of applications including lifting, engineering, commercial winching, entertainment and manufacturing.
English Braids has become one of the best known names in the market and clearly cannot afford to leave quality to chance. All their products are rigorously tested using either a bench top tensile testing machine or large force capacity horizontal testing system. Regular maintenance and calibration of their testing facilities is entrusted to Sercal. Mr Williams said, “Our reason for selecting Sercal to calibrate our test equipment, was based on their ability to provide English Braids with a fast, flexible response and they have demonstrated their commitment to excellent service over many years. If on occasions we have to change planned calibration visits to accommodate the needs of our production department, Sercal have always responded in a very professional manner.”
